Grain and Coffee
Through its grain and coffee trading activities, ETBC strives to materialize its intrinsic mission of keeping a steady domestic market through supply of staple cereals, such as teff and wheat, by procuring from local markets as per the prevailing market prices as well as through international purchase . ETBC foreign currency earning achievements are also mainly made possible through its export of major, internationally demanded, grains and coffee collected from various crop producing areas of the country well known for each commodity type. The local purchases also help local smallholder farming communities as well as unions earn fair prices for their produce.
