Staff members from the headquarters, sectors and regional marketing centers of the Ethiopian Businesses Trading Corporation conducted a sapling planting program under the motto "plant tomorrow today" based on the nation-wide green legacy campaign and planting 500 million saplings in a day, on July 17, 2023, in Bishoftu town.

The corporation’s staff planted saplings under the corporate motto, "we will strengthen our social partnership with our legacy."

The CEO of the corporation, Mr. Acha Demissie, explained that the planting of saplings has a significant contribution to ensure environmental safety and protection as well as food security. He emphasized that everyone should do their part to take care of the planted saplings.

It is a tradition of the corporation to carry out planting programs every year and, this year, a total of 7,423 avocado, mango, papaya, lemon, banana and coffee seedlings were planted in 28 of the corporation’s marketing centers in different parts of the country and 784 staff members participated in the event.
